As COVID-19 continues to spread, our team at A-1 Electric has an important update regarding our services and safety precautions at this time.
Availability of Services
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused most Philadelphia businesses to shut down, apart from those that are deemed essential to the safety and well-being of local residents. We are happy to announce that A-1 Electric is a state-designated essential provider. As a certified Commonwealth Inspection Agency and High Voltage Service provider, we provide life-sustaining electrical services to local homeowners, tenants, and essential businesses.
A-1 Electric is authorized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, as well as other municipalities to continue our operations on an “as-needed” basis. Until the Governor’s office lifts the shutdown order, our services are limited to residential emergencies and pressing government projects.
What is considered a residential electrical emergency? Any electrical situation that compromises the safety of the occupants. This includes, but is not limited to, power outages, electrical fires, broken electrical switches, a failing electrical system, etc. What we are not permitted to work on are unnecessary projects, such as home renovations, regular inspections, construction jobs, and more.
Safety Measures
The safety and well-being of our customers, employees, and surrounding communities are our most important concerns — now and always! Although we are committed to providing you with essential services, we will do so in a manner that does not compromise your health and security in any way. Our technicians are employed with all the required safety measures, and more, in compliance with CDC guidelines. Please take a look at the infographic below to learn more.
We are also employing several digital technologies we would like to make customers aware of. Primarily, all payments can be made electronically by credit card, Venmo, PayPal and EFT. No cash or checks will be accepted in order to decrease the possible risk of infection for our employees.
Furthermore, we are offering virtual inspections. Interested parties can contact one of our electrical contractors to set up an appointment, during which we can inspect your electrical issue to the best of our ability through video conferencing and/or pics and videos that are supplied to our team.
Finally, if you are in need of emergency electrical services and you feel unwell for any reason, please let us know beforehand! We have to prepare our electricians adequately to protect their health as well.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and individuals affected by COVID-19. Rest assured that we will do everything in our power to eliminate the virus from our beloved city while providing A-1 electrical services to all of PA.
